Shown in the table below are the peptide insertion sites in the different AAV variants. For each site, the two amino acids that flank the peptide insertion are listed in one-letter code (position within VP1 of each serotype). For instance, peptides inserted into site (i) in AAV1 were placed between the aspartate (D) at AAV1 VP1 position 590 and the proline (P) at position 591.
